VW returned to winning ways, with an excellent performance against a gutsy CB side, that kept pushing all the way!

​

The home side started very quickly and took a 3rd minute lead when Travis Hodge’s cross-shot took a small deflection into the net.

​

On the front foot, VW attacked at every opportunity, with the excellent Saaim Shabeer rifling a shot just over the bar, as did Turnell Sinclair soon after with the goal at his mercy.

​

Turnell then hit a post, and the threatening Harry Brooks also went close.

​

With our back four defending so well, Matt in goal had little to deal with in the first half, which ended 1-0 – should have been more.

​

The second half continued the same way, with VW creating all the chances, but we lacked the composure in front of goal, until Harry killed the game off with a late second.

​

Before this, Turnell had a couple of shots, as did Harry, and off the bench, Leo Pedro, who forced their keeper into a number of good saves.

​

A deserved win for VW, with a pleasing clean sheet.

​

We wish CB the best for the remainder of the season.
