End of Season

The 2021/22 has come to a conclusion for all the VWFC teams excluding a couple of games left for our U17s who are still fighting for the league title.

The first full year back after Covid has proved testing both on and off the pitch.

Our 1st Team recovered from a bad start to their campaign and had a strong finish to the season finishing 15th, with things looking bright for the squad next season.

The reserves finished mid table with some excellent results during the season, they also saw a number of players intergrate from our U18s team proving that our now established pathway from junior to adult football is working.

Likewise our U18s finished a creditable midtable in the Allied Youth League with 3 players going on the make regular 1st team appearances.

The Youth set up continues to grow with 2 new teams joining next season bringing the total to 12, so if you have a child wanting to get involved in football come and join the friendliest club in Surrey and be part of the journey.

Our soccer school for 4-6 year olds run in conjunction with JA Sports is flourishing on Saturday mornings 0930 - 1030

Off the pitch we have committed to another season for our first team at Windsor FC . We are still progressing with our search for a new home for our adult section and training facility for the kids with a pre planning application now submitted to Runneymede Borough Council. We continue to improve the facilities at The Timbers spending over £3,500 on improving the condition of the playing surfaces as well as taking additional much needed space at Trumps Green School.

So whilst the players take a break and enjoy their summer the committee continue through the closed season preparing sport for all for the 2022/23 season.
