Club statement from Chairman Dave McBride:

 

It is with shock and an enormous amount of sadness that I have to report the passing of our brilliant club secretary Graham Poulter.

 

He retired from the City of London Police and has since spent much of his time guiding Virginia Water FC to where we are now. Together with being a season ticket holder at Chelsea, the odd game of golf and weekend fishing, Graham had only just begun to enjoy his much earned retirement.

It is as our club secretary that I have got to know him; his attention to detail, honesty and integrity made him well respected within the leagues that VWFC participate in. Indeed he was recognised as Secretary of the Year by the Guildford & Woking Alliance League back in 2017/18 - an award I know he was proud to have received.

 

Thank you Graham for your friendship, your advice and guidance, and everyone at Virginia Water FC sends our sincerest condolences and love to his wife Wendy and children Jaimie, Kate and Tom.
