United States of Virginia Water

Virginia Water's current playing status is on hold due to the national lockdown, and when play does resume, they will be without three of their young starlets. Jack Simmons, Finn Kelly-Lewis and George Freer all depart for new adventures and pastures in the USA as they embark on university scholarships. Jack will be attending St. Louis Community College in St. Louis, Missouri, whilst Finn and George will both be attending Cañada College in Redwood City, California. All three players will be a big loss to the club, and all the staff and players wish Jack, Finn and George all the very best with their new adventure. First team manager Ceri Jones has said that the door is always open for them to return if and when they are back in the country

Non-Elite Football Suspended

Following a further government announcement on the 4th January 2021, all non-elite football has currently been suspended, in line with other grassroots sports. Virginia Water Football Club fall into this bracket, so once again football for both the adults and junior teams is currently on hold until at least the middle of February, in line with the national lockdown measures, which includes team training and organised games. VWFC will adhere to the government and FA advice and will update accordingly as and when there are any changes.

The staff at Virginia Water FC hopes everyone stays safe and well throughout these challenging times, so that normal life can resume as soon as possible

Covid-19 Regulations

Virginia Water have added the government track and trace scheme QR codes to The Timbers, to continue to be Covid-19 compliant and also help to ensure that the spread of the virus is kept in check. Whilst the first team groundshare with Windsor, and as such abide by Windsor's own regulations, Waters' Reserves, Development and junior sides still play at The Timbers. Any supporters visiting the ground are asked to abide by the club's regulations by wearing a face covering inside, sanitising their hands before entering the clubhouse, following the rule of 6 and also using the track and trace app to check in. Further protocols are in use for the teams playing and will be agreed with opposing managers before any fixtures
