Pre-Season Kicks Off

Virginia Water FC's pre-season games kick off this weekend with the reserves at home to Ascot and the first team away to Windsor. The players have been training for two weeks now and will be looking to build on the training sessions and increase their fitness and sharpness for the forthcoming season.

The reserves kick off their game at 12.30pm at the Timbers against local rivals Ascot. Manager Rob Lamb will be taking a mix of players from last season and some promising young players from last season's U16s side, as the reserves will be looking to build upon last season's second place finish and their runner's up spot in the league cup.

The first team start their pre-season campaign away to Windsor, a match that has been arranged on the back of the new partnership between the clubs, that sees the first team ground sharing with their hosts for this season. Manager Ceri Jones will be looking to build some momentum this pre-season that will hopefully see Waters hit the ground running when the season starts and mount a promotion challenge, after the club narrowly missed out on promotion last season. The kick off for this game is 3pm at Stag Meadow and Windsor will also be welcoming Virginia Water to the club with a bbq and social event after the game.
