Youth Teams Kick Off

Virginia Waters youth teams kicked off their season on Sunday in the Surrey Primary League. Jack Deabill took his new Under 7s side away to Ashford Town, whilst the Under 9s made their bow at home to West London Youth, in manager Jake Basheer's first game. Both teams performed well in their very first games for the club and showed a lot of promise for the future.

The Under 12's new management team of Matt Spearing, Mark Harris and Peter Shepherd were given a bit of a rude awakening to life in Division One, with a 6-0 away defeat to Woking Town Colts. They will be hoping to pick themselves up for their next fixture at home to Claygate Royals Griffins.

The Under 14 Maroons did not have a fixture, but the Greens got off to a flyer, winning 5-1 away to Horsley Blades in their first game.

Brian Hart's Under 16 Greens also did not have a game, but new manager Alex Saunders started the season well with the Under 16 Maroons, picking up three points with an away win at Finchampstead Hurricanes.
