Youth Teams Week 2 Roundup

Virginia Water FC's youth and junior teams were all involved in week two of their seasons.

The U16's dug deep to come back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at home to Burpham, a team who two seasons ago had beat Waters 6-1 in a cup final. Sam Dawber, Ojas Limbu and Josh Baddock scored the goals

The U16 Reds had a tough away game to Fleet Spurs, and went down 4-1. They will be hoping to bounce back next week with a home game against Hersham.

Water's new U14 Reds team unfortunately struggled in their first game of the season, only having 11 players available on the day and ending the game with 9 players due to injuries - which contributed to a 6-0 defeat away to Windlesham.

The U14 Youth's were disappointingly beaten in a local derby against Lyne, losing 6-4 at home. Manager Andy Ingram will be looking for a sharper performance next week.

The U12's team built on their good draw last week, by winning 6-0 at home to Hersham, with a full squad to choose from this time round!

And the under 10's showed more promise in their second game of the campaign at home to Egham Hawks.
