VWFC vs Aston Clinton Development
10/10/2017 Virginia Water 8-1 Aston Clinton Development
Bluefin Challenge Cup
Report by Ceri Jones

Waters cruised into the second round with a comfortable win against a spirited Aston Clinton Development side, who continued to play good football until the end.
Indeed, they more than deserved their late consolation goal, and could have had another goal before that when a spectacular volley from fully 30 yards out cannoned off the post, with goalkeeper Matt Jones stranded.
But before that, Waters had exerted their dominance and had raced into a five goal lead at half time.
Adam McNamara helped himself to a four goal haul, ably supported by further goals from Finn Evered (2), Josh Guichard and Ryan Curtis.
A home draw against AFC Aldermaston in the next round is Waters’ reward as they stormed back to winning ways after a couple of score draws of late.
Manager Ceri Jones was pleased with the application of the team, who showed their killer instinct against the side from the division below them in the Hellenic structure and will hope to carry this momentum into the next league game.
