"WATERS" suffered a second successive league defeat, losing 1-0
at home to Bletchingley. The loss also ended a run of 16 league
games of hitting the net.
Bletchingley only created a couple of clear cut chances in the game,
their goal came in the 38th minute when their striker found space
from a corner at the near post to plant the ball past keeper Mark Pisani.
"WATERS" enjoyed most of the possession throughout the match,
but failed to convert from the numerous chances created. Josh
Gichard almost snatched a late equalizer when his 25yd shot was
spilled by the keeper but despite appeals the referee ruled the ball
had not crossed the line.
THe RESERVES were unlucky to only get a point at Bletchingley
after dominating the match, The home keeper pulled off a superb
save to deny "WATERS" the winner late in the second half.
